James Morrill, CEO & Founder

Founder Bio

A leader and self-starter in the art industry with over 17 years experience. James is the founder of Art Enterprise Resources where he provides full service strategic and financial guidance to arts organizations of varying sizes and missions. Before founding Art Enterprise Resources in 2023, James served as Global CFO at David Zwirner where he played a vital role in expanding staff and gallery locations throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. 

In his co-founded personal project, running from 2010-2016, Rawson Projects, James had the pleasure of working with and showcasing artists like Jamian Juliano-Villani, Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Wendy White, Davina Semo, and more. With an extensive background and support in the arts, James has a BA in Art History from Wake Forest University and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is also an active board member for Young New Yorkers, a restorative justice art program.
